Today I recorded into my tiny blue book a few of my favorite things during this Coronavirus interlude.

I went to my semi annual dental appointment. My first venture out to be with people since the lockdown.

As I walked into the office, Mandy, the receptionist, greeted me with her warmth. She called me by name, "Hello, Marey."

The atmosphere is always receiving, it doesn't present you with the feeling of "I can't wait to leave."

I always feel welcomed. So much so that the normal tension melts inside me.

As I was ushered to "my chair" I relaxed because I knew the hands of those I entrusted with my precious teeth would be gentle.

The hearts of those I entrusted with my precious teeth would be so attentive to my comfort and person.

I love the meaningful conversation after six months between visits. I feel known as "Marey" not "Patient #7."

With the dental instruments and their fingers in my mouth I cannot always respond immediately in a graceful manner. But I feel surrounded by a loving, caring, competent circle of real, authentic people with whom I can connect.

Thank you, thank you for being such a great team of caring for me, for us who come to be serviced by Nelson and his team.

I am one of those people who put off going to dentist when I needed a new one. I got a card in the mail, months ago. Now I needed a dentist, called and due to cancellation I was in that day. Dr Nelson and staff were so so nice. What I am saying here, due to childhood fears to bad experiences in the 50 and 60's, I never outgrew that fear of dentists. Then I came into his office, staff are outstanding, hygienist met with me and then came Dr, Nelson. AMAZING! Totally considered my fears and comfort. Now today, had to have extraction and had a filling down. Here I am 4 hours later, pain free, not even ibuprofen needed. First time in my life I sat in a dental chair without clenched fists. All because of Dr Nelson and staff. I am so blessed to have found him as MY dentist. Cannot go wrong. If you have fears, you won't after your first visit, guaranteed.

Due to my severe fear of dentists I have never been so relaxed! Entire staff understood my fear. Thank you, thank you! You are all amazing!!

By FAR the best Dentist I have ever seen. I trust Dr. Nelson completely. Not only was he pleasant to talk to, he understood my concerns, was interested in me, and was doing his best to maximize the benefits I could get out of my visit while minimizing my cost. What I like most about him is that he doesn't try to "over-diagnose" you to get extra money out of unneeded procedures. He treats you with respect, and is very, very knowledgeable. If I hadn't moved out of state, I would joyfully go to see Dr. Nelson for all of my oral care needs.
